Black Gold Industrial Co. is a subsidiary of Zoman Group of companies.

With headquarters in the Second Industrial City of Dammam and offices in Khobar, Saudi Arabia, Black Gold has set up two branches for its Oil & Gas activities: Drilling Fluid Chemicals & Well Services. By using the latest technology in market-proven milling machines and leak detection tools, sourcing high quality raw materials and employing a team of professionals from the oil & gas industry, Black Gold aims to be a prominent local name synonymous with Quality and Innovation.

Drilling Fluid Chemicals

Black Gold is currently setting up its advanced facility in the Second Industrial City of Dammam to manufacture and supply quality API Grade drilling fluid chemicals such as Barite, Bentonite, Calcium Carbonate, Calcium Bromate and various LCMs.

Our research center is currently also exploring and testing various local, sustainable and environmentally friendly materials to be used as safe alternatives to conventional drilling fluid chemicals.

Factory Setup

Black Gold has contracted Al Zoman Contracting Co. the turn-key solution to design, build & equip its upcoming manufacturing facility. From site preparation to infrastructure and installation & commissioning, Al Zoman is handling the complete management of the project.

Black Gold’s factory will initially include 4 main production lines: 2 for Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3), 1 for Barite (BaSO4) & 1 for Sodium Bentonite, for a total combined output capacity of 500 M.T per day. In addition, the infrastructure for a 5th production line is also being built to be able to process natural resources and turn them into superior Loss Circulation Materials in drilling fluids.

Oil & Gas Well Services

Black Gold’s Well Services branch is focused on Oil & Gas Production Technology, supplying multiphase flow meter equipment used in Artificial Lift, as well as world class ESPs and Gas Leak Detection tools & services.

ESP

Black Gold has partnered with global leading manufacturers and suppliers of ESPs (Electric Submersible Pumps) to the oil & gas industry.

Gas Leak Detection

In Saudi Arabia, many oil wells are being produced by gas-lift technology, requiring extensive & costly workover to detect, locate and repair any gas leaks. Black Gold has set up a Joint Venture with one of the world’s leading companies to supply & install the latest in Gas Leak Detection tools.

Localization & IKTVA

Black Gold has its vision aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in supporting local industries by utilizing local resources, hiring local talent and encouraging local in-kingdom manufacturing. Black Gold is also committed to Saudi Aramco’s IKTVA baseline, where we strive for supplier development and aim for 70% local talent by year 2021.
